The concept of taking something that isn't yours is an ongoing issues and definitely happening overseas in the Middle East in this present day. But Today, I wanted to acknowledge 30 Indigenous Brands that we should support as much as we can and especially if we are shopping this Black Friday. There are also countless ways to support especially purchasing their items, following them on social media, sharing their designs, creations and incredible work and tag them when you do purchase their item. The owner, Maria Running Fisher Jones, raised by her single mother on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Northwestern Montana has a community that is struggling with 69% unemployment rate. Their company is founded on the principle that everyone deserves an opportunity to succeed.
Based out of North Dakota, Beyond Buckskin is dedicated to advancing creative small businesses located throughout rural and urban communities by providing an online store where customers can connect with Native American fashion designers and jewelry artists.

Bedré Fine Chocolate remained a local staple, and in 2000, the Chickasaw Nation purchased the company and gave it new life. OXDX is a fashion label that specializes in digital art, cut'n'sew apparel, and collaborations as an ongoing project to bring Indigenous stories to the forefront. OXDX was founded by artist, Jared Kee Yazzie, a DIné self-taught graphic designer and print maker. Yazzie has been producing fashion design since 2009 and now operates a workshop and store front with partner Allie Stone in Tempe, Arizona. Allie is a textile artist and weaver who acts as OXDX's head seamstress and business manager. Allie's contribution to the brand since 2018 has been the driving force to OXDX's most recent successes, which include features in Vogue, USA Today, the Huffington Post, WWD, Salon, and HighSnobiety. A young Aboriginal couple, John & Deanne Hupfield, who started Aboriginal Apparel and hit the pow wow trail several years ago. They recently joined forces with Dean & Susan Mitchell of the Toronto based, Aboriginal-owned Graphic Design firm - Fresh Art & Design Inc., creating NATE (We Are Nate Inc.), to bring their designs to everyone, everywhere on Turtle Island.
Delina White, Minnesota Chippewa Tribe, Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe is a Native Apparel Designer, Jewelry Maker & Beadwork Artist. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University, MN, in Business Administration in Management, and a Management Information Systems minor.
Angel and Alex are a 2S BIPOC couple and co-founders of Indi City. In 2017 they became the first global Indigenous Designers to incorporate wearable technology into traditional regalia. Together they design and create fashion accessories according to the current indigenization of Turtle Island in contact with their ancestral roots.
